About

My name is Blake Derksen and I am an animator. From a young age I have enjoyed experimenting in many art forms from drawing to origami. After discovering stop motion, I have enjoyed bringing a variety of media to life with the animation technique. At Calarts I refined and expanded my work and grew as an artist in the Experimental Animation Program, producing four animated shorts and many smaller projects. Now I am working in the industry as a full-time stop motion animator.
